Kirsten Smith

Now based in Sydney, I began my artistic career as a child selling my paintings to tourists in the South Island of NZ. After studying at film school I directed experimental short films and music videos. I moved to New York in the early 90’s where I studied at the Parsons School of Design and worked as an animation artist.
I have exhibited in group exhibitions throughout Sydney and Melbourne and been a finalist in The Publishers Cup Art prize, (2009 and 2010), also a finalist in the Marrickville contemporary art prize, (2007, 2009 and 2010).
